Seriously Legend's in Columbia would not have let this happen and certainly would not tell us that Jumbo don't mean Jumbo, then say the meatballs were made bigger today so you get 2. But if you aren't going to give 3 jumbo meatballs just say it, don't give lame excuses and if you are going to go by the size of the meatballs for the day put a sticky not on the menu that it depends on who rolls the meatballs for the day will determine how many you get. I understand that there is a lot going on in the world especially with food shortages etc. Excuse me but this all made no sense at all. Then went into explaining that the menu says Jumbo Shrimp, but they are not Jumbo. Just because the menu said 3 Jumbo meatballs don't mean Jumbo. The manager (do not recall her name, because she didn't give it to us) told my aunt that the meatballs are made by hand and was made bigger than usual, so you get 2. My Aunt explained that we order the spaghetti and meatballs dinner, but we all received only 2 meatballs. The manager came over no smile, how Ya doing? Glad you came, just a sour face and ask us did we need anything. Brought the issue to the server Ellie who said she would get a manager. And at 13$ for a plate of spaghetti and 3 jumbo meatballs we want what we are paying for. When our spaghetti dinners came, they are missing a meatball, I know that might seem trivial to some, but with everything costing so much you want what you are supposed to have. When we order we order from the menu, the menu stated on the spaghetti dinner included 3 jumbo meatballs. First one of the kid's catfish dinners was raw, the catfish was not cook thoroughly, the server offered our child a different dinner or cook the fish, but since she saw the raw fish, she was against that so went with the kid's spaghetti, ok that is done. Kids grill cheese and 2 kids catfish dinners. Our order included 3 spaghetti and meatball dinners, a cheeseburger meal. We understand the shortage of servers, food, etc.

We were a large group 4 adults and 3 children, we are very patient people, so we never mind if there is a wait on food, service etc. Really the only good thing about our visit. To begin with I will say that our server Ellie was super nice and keep checking on us.

It is far from being top notch as Legend's in Columbia, yes you might think because I have eaten at Legend's for so long, I am bias but that isn't true, there were several big differences between the restaurants. Needless to say, this will be my and my family's one and done visit. We are planning to move to the area soon and wanted to try the restaurant since it is affiliate with Legend's. This was our first visit to Brass Lantern, we travelled here to eat this evening because we eat a lot at Legend's in Columbia. American Restaurants for Lunch in Lawrenceburg.American Restaurants for Large Groups in Lawrenceburg.American Restaurants for Breakfast in Lawrenceburg.Hotels near (MSL) Muscle Shoals Airport.Hotels near (HSV) Huntsville Intl Airport.Hotels near The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. We are local and could easily been regular customers but never again. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We were enjoying talking with another couple at the table near us and would have ordered a couple more rounds of drinks, well let me tell you the lady was standing at the door, keys in hand, letting us know that she was ready to lock up at 9:05. Most restaurants that we have eaten in - across the country - when dining time is listed 4 to 9 it does not mean that you are going to be hustled out the door at 9pm sharp. Salad was good, shrimp cocktail good but served incorrectly, was on a salad plate where it should have been in a shrimp cocktail cup. Escargo was cold, puff pastry on top was not crisp. Our waiter was excellent! But food was sub-par.lobster not completely cooked and was not hot, butter barely warm, baked potato not hot, mashed was good. We had reservations for 7pm, first we had to wait about 5 minutes till someone came to seat us. I want to say how disappointed we were with out meal at the Brass Lantern.
